Position Description Summary:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. School of Nursing solicits applications from nurse scientists to fill three open-rank tenure/tenure track positions. These full-time, 12-month faculty appointments may begin as early as July 1, 2022. We are committed to identifying candidates who through their research, teaching and service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and/or maintain a funded program of research
Maintain an ongoing record of scholarly productivity including publications in nationally recognized journal
Foster and participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams in the School of Nursing and across the University
Teach academic courses as assigned
Engage in service related activities for the School of Nursing, the University, and professional organizations dedicated to nursing and/or research
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD or equivalent research doctoral degree (e.g., ScD) in nursing, public health or a related field
Eligibility for RN licensure in the District of Columbia and Virginia
An active or emerging program of research in one or more of the following areas: health policy, health disparities, aging and/or chronic disease management
Record of scholarly achievements commensurate with anticipated rank
Evidence of ability to advance diversity, equity and inclusion efforts through teaching, research/scholarship and/or service
