Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department Seasonal','25121-98062','United States-Texas-Fort Worth-Medical Center Alliance','PRN/Per Diem','Nursing - Professional','!*!Registered Nurse – RNEmergency Services – Emergency DepartmentEmergency Room - ERSeasonal PRN Status - Full-time Schedule Mid-Shift POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESAssures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.Clinically proficient in emergency room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.Provides and documents quality patient care consistently according to hospital standards and policy/procedures.Prioritize patient care as they present to the department. Re-assessment of patient conditions and symptoms based on initial acuity determination prior to and after medical screening exam as required.Accurately identify situations which require emergent or urgent responses and communicate those to the appropriate level of leadership in the organization utilizing the appropriate chain of command in the approach to problem solving.Seasonal Staff Program GuidelinesMust have 2 years of Emergency Department experience.Payrate: $55/hourAll Seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period.Requirements:Two holiday shifts are required (defined by Department Manager or Designee) and 2 weekend shifts are required each 4 week period. Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There is no guarantee of hours by the hospital. Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401 (k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy. Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal Program, will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.Eligibility:Current PRN employees who have committed to work or have worked, on average, a minimum of 96 hours or more in the previous six pay periods, are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal program. ','!*!POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONAssociate’s degree required; BSN preferred. EXPERIENCETwo (2) years of nursing experience preferred.Emergency room clinical experience preferred.
