Cartersville Medical Center is a 119 – bed acute care
hospital, Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center and Gold Seal
Inpatient Diabetes program accredited by the Joint Commission.  The Breast
Imaging Center of Excellence at The Women’s Center provides mammography
services that are gold seal accredited by the American College of
Radiology.  The Hope Center, a regional, Commission on Cancer approved
cancer treatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospital campus and
provides over 4,000 treatments with over 300 new patients per year from a ten
county region.id
  Must smile and make eye
contact. The Registered Nurse (RN) performs direct patient care within the
scope of the Registered Nurse.  Performs
the primary function of assessing, planning and evaluating the care of all
assigned patients.  Responsible for
meeting the established policies/standards of practice for this facility.  Identifies nursing problems as they relate to
the individual needs of the patients - plans and carries out individualized
patient care.  Daily use of analytical
and decision-making skills. Promotes and maintains patient safety standards.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality
Improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with
patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive,
teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the
long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of CMC. Responsible for maintaining a functional personal
telephone and providing Human Resources and department Manager/Director with
current telephone number.

an accredited School
of Nursing with a current
GA RN license. Basic Healthcare Provider (BLS) Certification within 90 days of
hire or promotion. ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire or
promotion. Previous ICU/CCU experience preferred.  Must be within 60 minutes of facility when on
call.
