Summa Rehab Hospital, a joint venture between Summa Health System and Vibra Healthcare, is a new state of the art 60-bed rehab facility. Summa Rehab Hospital is seeking Rehab Nurse Techs to join our team!
*STNA is not required.
* $1500 Sign On/Retention BONUS for Full Time Nurse Techs! *
(Half paid after completion of 90 days of full time employment, half paid after completion of 1 year of full time employment)
Full-Time 36 hours/week
– DAY or NIGHT shift; 6-6:30 (3 shifts/week), every other weekend required, holiday rotation
Part-Time 24 hours/week
– DAY or NIGHT shift; 6-6:30, 24 hr/wk (2 shifts/week), every other weekend required, holiday rotation
Part-Time 18 hours/week
– DAY or NIGHT shift; 6p-12a; variable days; 2 weekend shifts required per 4-233k schedule; 2 holidays required per year
Part-Time 12 hours/week
– DAY or NIGHT shift; 6-6:30, 12 hr/wk (1 shift/week), one weekend shift per month required, one holiday per year
PRN day or night shift
– non-exempt; 6a-6:30p; PRN requirements: 2 shifts per 4 week schedule, to include one weekend shift; one hospital-observed holiday per year.
Position Summary:
The Nurse Tech is responsible for assisting patients with personal hygiene and the activities of daily living. Provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living; and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake skills. Recognizes emergency situations and responds.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current BLS, Heart Saver or CPR certification from a Summa Rehab Hospital-approved vendor prior to the completion of the introductory period required.
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant/Nursing Aide in the state of employment preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Multi-Skilled Technician (MST), Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification or currently enrolled in a Nursing program with at least one clinical rotation preferred.
Acute care/LTAC experience preferred.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
