Responsibilities
The Quality Compliance Nurse (RN) Professional leads quality improvement projects and monitor performance metrics for KY Medicaid, leads a provider medical record documentation review audit, and participates in multidisciplinary committees, both external and internal. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures
The Quality Compliance Nurse (RN) Professional is responsible for managing Kentucky market quality improvement activities. This includes:
Leads annual medical record documentation review audits
Supports quality document updates (example: quality improvement program description, work plans, and evaluation)
Facilitates the Quality Improvement Committee
Completes and updates reports (including State Reports and Kentucky Medicaid Quality Improvement Committee reports)
Participates in multidisciplinary committees, both internal and external
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse with active Kentucky License with no restrictions
2 years previous experience in quality improvement/quality operations
Experience with healthcare quality measures (example HEDIS, CAHPS)
Understanding of NCQA accreditation
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, intermediate Excel experience (pivot tables/filtering, charts, formulas)
Strong relationship building skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving quality for our members
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
Quality improvement experience with the Medicaid population
Project management experience
Additional Information
This position will need to be located either in Louisville, KY or Remote KY as this position will need to come into the office on a quarterly basis.
