Description
The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Nurse 2 utilizes clinical nursing skills to support the coordination, documentation and communication of behavioral health services and/or benefit administration determinations. The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Nurse 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Nurse 2 uses clinical knowledge, communication skills, and independent critical thinking skills towards interpreting criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. Coordinates and communicates with providers, members, or other parties to facilitate optimal care and treatment. Compact Nursing license is required. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Unrestricted RN Licensure
Compact RN Licensure
3 years of Inpatient Behavioral Health (Psych) experience or
3 years of Behavioral Health Utilization Management experience
Experience with MCG and ASAM criteria
Preferred Qualifications
BSN

This position is a weekend position.
Shift is Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday 8am CST - 6:30pm CST
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home. Interview Format

Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
