Job Details:

Job Purpose/Summary:

This position will perform a variety of tasks to support the health and wellbeing of the plant staff including: operating the thermal temperature scanner and/or handheld thermal device as team members and visitors enter the facility; assist with team member pre-screening and enhanced screening; assist with COVID testing; assist with employee close contact identification and tracking; communicate with local Health Department; reinforce Tyson COVID-19 guidelines; educate others on following the guidelines for everyone’s health and safety; and other duties as assigned by Supervisor. The ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Additional position information: The nature of this work may involve exposure to Blood borne Pathogens other infectious illnesses. The likelihood of such exposure is minimal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be a champion for the health and wellbeing of the plant staff

Operate and monitor the thermal scanner to take temperatures of team members

Monitor social distancing in scanning area

Notify health services of temperature over 100.4

Maintain contact with covid-19 positive team members

Assist with close contact tracking

Working with the local health department to verify positive and close contacts at work

Notification of Nursing staff of employees who need enhanced screening for COVID-19

Maintaining OSHA Logs and employee medical files

Answering phones and taking messages

Assisting with health promotions and educational projects

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education. Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification preferred. Ability to meet CPR certification standards.

Experience: Clerical experience required. Experience with medical databases preferred.

Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to run reports as required.

Communication Skills: Good verbal and written skills (bilingual preferred)

Special Skills: Broad knowledge in general professional or technical field essential to the job being evaluated; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include walking through the plant to ensure team member and supervisor compliance with prescribed modified restricted duty requirements. This will include walking up steps and using ladders.
