JOB SUMMARY

The RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Meadows Health and the Georgia Board of Nurse Examiners. In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family, and other members of the Health Care Team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans. The RN is responsible for patient assessments, patient education, administration of medications as ordered by physician, via oral, IM, SQ, or IV route. The RN will document on nurses notes, medication, and patient education records.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIRED

2 Year/Associates Degree - ASN

Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing

Current Georgia License - RN

EDUCATION PREFERRED

4 Year/Bachelors Degree - BSN

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1 Year Minimum in Related Role - RN

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Other - 1 year minimum in ED, ICU, MST, or PCU

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

ACLS

PALS

CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED

TNCC

CEN

TCRN

WORKING CONDITIONS

Clinical Work: May be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. In general the worker will in an environment controlled area but may be briefly exposed to the elements. In the normal environment, worker will be subject to light noise. Exposure to possible work hazards include but are not limited to physical conditions, exposures to chemicals, radiation, infectious diseases and biohazardous materials. Worker may be required to function around prisoners and mental patients.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Clinical Work: This position requires a moderate amount of physical work and frequent lifting in excess of 35lbs. Clinical Staff are required to assist patients, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, stretch or otherwise move objects. Walking and standing are required in addition to some sedentary work. The essential duties of this position require an appropriate level of visual acuity and sense of hearing and feeling, as well as an ability to communicate. This work may require repetitive motion.
