The College of Nursing is seeking to fill a full time faculty position with the title of Instructor Adjunct (Represented, Non-Tenure). Represented Adjuncts at the College of Nursing are .99 full time equivalency status (FTE) with 1 to 3 year assignments. Minimum Qualifications:
*MSN required with a pathway to seeking doctorate. *Hold a valid unencumbered Ohio license as a Registered Nurse. *3 to 5 years clinical experience required. *Experience in simulation-based education and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience in a higher education preferred. *Previous experience as a nurse educator. *Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)-Current Certification.
Responsibilities:
*Supervise the daily operations of the simulation and skills labs to provide a wide variety of simulation based learning activities. *In collaboration with the Simulation Operations Technologist oversee the regular maintenance and repair of all simulation equipment including:
*Human patient simulators, computers, monitors and a variety of clinical durable medical equipment *A/V & debriefing systems
*Coordinate with the Simulation Operations Technologist to recommend future equipment and supply purchases. *Facilitate the adult learning process to create a psychologically safe climate to support learning across the curriculum and programs. *Create, Implement, facilitate, and debrief simulation-based learning and assessment activities. *Participate in assessment of student learning activities necessary to meet prescribed student learning outcomes. *Maintain relevant simulation-based education through the review of relevant journals, abstracts, and scientific literature including underlying educational theories *Work/Interact effectively with diverse populations, showing respect and sensitivity for cultural sensitivity.
