This position is 10-hour shifts- (4 shifts per week). This position requires 3 on-call shifts per month and may include working some weekends. With 27 surgical suites, we perform over 15,000 surgeries per year in a variety of service lines which allow our nurses a great variety of cases. We are proud to be designated a Center of Excellence for total joints, complex spine surgeries as well as solid organ transplants. We also perform surgery for cochlear implants, strokes, TAVR, hybrid vascular procedures, cardiac, ENT, OTO, GYN, neurosurgery, orthopedics and sports medicine. We are also one of few centers to offer isolated limb infusion (ILI) for the treatment of metastatic melanoma . Our plastic and reconstructive surgery team also performs transfeminine gender-affirming surgery. OR Nurses care for the surgical patient through the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods. The OR nurse performs a number of duties, including patient assessment, creating a sterile environment, monitoring patients' mental and physical status, coordination of care, and provision of resources.
The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.
A current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse License is required for this position.
Recent operating room experience as an RN preferred.
CPR certification required every two years or as specified by the work.
This position offers set schedule and does require on call shifts
