Positions
There are a variety of travel nursing jobs to fill at different travel nursing agencies. A lot of them are held within hospitals. Then the area you work in all depends on your specialty, for instance you could be in neonatal intensive care unit, intensive care unit or the pediatric intensive care unit. A lot of these jobs require the nurse to work shifts with long hours.
Locations
The travel nursing jobs are located in states all over the country. If you don't want to be traveling around a lot - usually every couple weeks - you could try to ask for locations in your city or state. On the other hand, if you enjoy visiting new places and meeting different people, traveling abroad could be for you.
Pay
As a travel nurse, you could be getting paid up to $40 hourly, depending on the assignment you have and your experience in the field. Those working in other specialties will make different salaries. If while you are on an assignment you are called off, the agency will still pay you for the remainder of the time anyway.
Other Benefits
Free housing is offered to all travel nursing professionals that are on an assignment. If you decide to get your own housing, you will get a stipend to help with rent. Also, nurses receive affordable dental and health insurance and life insurance for free.
