Step One: The first thing you will need to do is begin researching programs. There is a variety to choose from -- some are associated with local universities and nursing schools. Then there are others that are stand alone institutions. Make sure you thoroughly research them to ensure it is the school you would like to attend for your online LPN nursing degree. Also, make sure that it is accredited by your state.
Step Two: Next, you will need to apply for the LPN program that you have found. In most instances, getting into a nursing program can be quite competitive. It is possible that you may have to wait a semester or two before you're able to enter into the program. If this happens, think about taking classes in a physical location. You could then transfer these credits to the online degree class for nursing.
Step Three: Ensure that you complete all of the prerequisites for the program that you will be taking. Some of these may include taking classes in humanities. Also, it may be required that you have a specific GPA to obtain admission into a program.
Step Four: Now, you will need to pass all of your classes. Once you complete all of the class work and clinical education classes (which have to be done in person), then you can take the state licensing exam.
