Instructions
Step One: The first thing you need to do is create a resume. Within your resume, it should outline all of your qualifications and past experience. You have to also put your educational and training back ground as a licensed practical nurse. Make sure to highlight on any hands-on training that you have incurred, from either paid or volunteer work.
Step Two: Begin reading nursing journals, which are known for advertising job positions from employers. You can find job opportunities in between pages and within the classifieds section.
Step Three: Once you find one or more positions, you can begin directly applying to the job. You can also contact the hospital you interned at, since you would be familiar with the people that already work there. You can contact supervisors to find out if they need any LPN help.
Step Four: Another way to go is to contact a nursing staffing recruiter. They are able to help those in the nursing field get jobs within hospitals, nursing homes and a variety of other medical facilities.
Step Five: A temp staffing agency is also a great way to go.
Step Six: You can even get in touch with school classmates and see if they know of any openings in the licensed practical nurse field.
Step Seven: Your last option would be to post up on an Internet message board for networking purposes.
