Step One: The first thing you need to do is decide whether or not this is the field you would like to enter into. If you would like to become a registered nurse, you will have to take proper courses online. It will take up to two years to complete to become a registered nurse. You also have the option of becoming a licensed practical nurse. It takes about a year to complete schooling for this type of nurse certificate and it can be done all online.
Step Two: Once you find a school that you would like to attend online, you will need to ensure that it is accredited by your state. Make sure to have your high school and college transcripts readily available because the school we need to have them mailed in or faxed. You can search for financial aid; Pell Grants and loans are available for many students.
Step Three: Now, you will need to take your online nursing degree classes and pass them. You will study courses like science, math, communications, human anatomy and English.
Step Four: Last, you will have to pass the certification exam, so that you can begin working in the field. Now, you can apply for jobs at hospitals, clinics, doctor offices and a variety of other health care institutions. The salary you can make will depend on where you live, your experience, education level and place of employment.
