Step One: The first thing you will need to do in order to become an LVN is to find a school you'd like to attend. Since you're looking to study via the Internet, you can begin your search for schools there. Once you get into class and complete the program, you will be qualified to take the licensed vocational nurse state licensing exam. Make sure that the schools you are looking into are accredited by your state.
Step Two: Now, that you know a school you want to attend, your next step is to apply for admission. At the nursing school, they will take a look at your high school transcripts, so make sure to have access to these files. Look over your applications to make sure you have completed them all and correctly. Also, don't forget to attach documents that are necessary.
Step Three: Once enrolled in a school, your next goal is to pass the classes. A lot of the training will be done from the comfort of your home, following your instructor closely via the Web. Some of the courses you will study for include biology, anatomy and chemistry. Everything you learn, you will be tested for on your final exam.
Step Four: After completing your classes and passing, you can go on to take the NCLEX exam. Once you pass it, you will receive a license to practice in the state you live in.
