Much of the studies can be done completed over the Internet. Getting an online nursing degree is simpler than you think. You will be able to complete much of the course online, but you will have to be in person for clinical training.
Step One: First, you will need to find out what type of nursing degree you would like to obtain. You can become an LPN, CNA, RN or PN. Each requires a different amount of years in school -- some can be completed within six months while others can take two to fours years to complete. The longer you are in school, the more money you can end up making. RNs and practical nurses make the most in the nurse field.
Step Two: Your next step is to begin searching around for online nursing degree programs. Make sure that the school you choose is accredited in the state you will be working in. After you finish the program, you will have to take a state licensing test, but if the training you received wasn't from an accredited nursing degree school you won't be able to take this exam.
Step Three: Now, you can apply for admission into the school of your choice. Make sure that you have all paperwork available, such as financial aid documents and transcripts.
Step Four: All you need to do now is complete your coursework and clinical studies. Afterward, you can sign up to take the state licensing exam to begin working in the field.
